I feel like reading about a communist-era document

Have you already read the latest report from ACLU, Establishing A New Normal? The contents is about how the CIA, Bush, Obama, and the authorities have been exploiting the freedom, privacy, and human rights of innocent people around the world.
In one recent case, the Obama administration vigorously opposed the release of Hassan al-Odaini—who was 17 years old when arrested and spent eight years imprisoned without charge. The federal court’s decision, which emphatically ordered Mr. Odaini’s release, revealed that the government itself had repeatedly concluded that he was not a threat, but had instead simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time when Pakistani officials arrested him during a surprise raid of a classmate’s home.
One thing I learned from the document is that it is wise to stay not close to Muslims or you would be the one who might be sent to Guantanamo Bay for "been in the wrong place at the wrong time." You never know your friends - who could be the plain clothes officers and pretending to get caught - and you would be spotted to stay in your friend's home. I mean, the TIs might get in trouble with such skits by the perps who are the friends of the local police officers. What will you do if your friend engages in the shoplifting in the store when you went out together and she got caught? It might be ending up making a suspicion on you as the potential shoplifter in future. Isn't it the same for the concept of above example of the innocent man caught for a potential terrorist? Seriously, choosing a friend is an important decision for one's own life.

One more case is about the border agents who are making the copies of everything on the traveler's laptop hard disks.
And like the Bush administration, the Obama administration has invested border agents with the authority to engage in suspicionless searches of Americans’ laptops and cell phones at the border; Americans who return home from abroad may now find themselves confronted with a border agent who, rather than welcoming them home, insists on copying their electronic records —including emails, address books, photos, and videos—before allowing them to enter the country.
As a TI, I can say that the perps pretending to be the detectives often try to do similar things. If you leave the room for taking a shower in a hotel, you might find your computer is on after you go out from the bathroom. Or your computer might be found in a different place from where you put after you come back from a sightseeing tour. That's probably done by the FBI agents and their informants who are working to put surveillance on Americans and others in foreign countries.

I'm not commenting about the killings of innocent people by the Americans. They can do it to any president or PM around the world, so why can't do it to citizens? Americans did not change anything from assassination of JFK nor MLK... it's just their tradition.

Someone calling oneself John DOE probably has no self worth, so the one just tries to harass others... I'm noting about one cyber-stalker here.
